Tom Stepp (born 1950, died 2023) was a renowned designer who worked with a wide range of Danish and international manufacturers. He was known for his innovative and functional designs that often combined aesthetics and practicality in a unique way. His body of work is characterized by an uncomplicated beauty and aesthetic honesty that demonstrates a deep understanding of materials, functions and processes. Tom graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts School of Architecture.

Tom Stepp (1950–2023) was a renowned Danish designer, known for his powerful blend of functionality, craftsmanship, and aesthetics. With a background as a structural engineer and architect from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, he worked in a design language characterized by modern functionalism and Scandinavian minimalism.

With the OULU series, he unites function and aesthetics in a timeless design. The lamp is created for
everyday life, where form and function merge into a harmonious whole and lend the room a calm and
stylish look.
